BELTON, TX — The Belton Police Department said they have given the all clear after a bomb threat at New Tech High School.

The scene is secure and students have been moved to a safe area. A dog swept the area to make sure it is safe.

Belton ISD said that students were moved after an anonymous alert message was received indicating a potential threat.

They said that out of an abundance of caution law enforcement recommended a thorough sweep of the school to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Shuttles will not run between Belton New Tech High School at Waskow and Belton High School until law enforcement has informed the district that the campus is clear.

Any parent wishing to pick up their student may do so at the entry to the Pittenger Fine Arts Center located at 400 North Wall Street in Belton. Please bring identification. Only authorized individuals may check out students based on Skyward Family Access records.
