Police: Suspected domestic violence incident led to man's death at College Station hotel

COLLEGE STATION, TX — Police believe a suspected domestic violence incident led to the death of a man at a College Station hotel.

On November 24, officers were called out to to a hotel in the 3700 block of the SH 6 West Frontage Road for a welfare check after a missed checkout.

When officers arrived, they found a man's body.

Police believe a suspected domestic violence incident resulted in the apparent homicide.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Freddy Dean Brent Aguirre, Jr. of Normangee.

Detectives met with the other person involved, who is a woman known to Aguirre. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and is cooperating with the investigation.

An autopsy has been performed by the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police say when the investigation is concluded, the case will be presented to the Brazos County District Attorney's Office.

Further updates are not anticipated, according to CSPD.
