One person is dead and another is in serious condition after a pickup truck lost control and ended up crashing into trees.
Around 11:01 a.m. on October 28, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a one-vehicle fatality crash on US 190, 13 miles east of Bryan.
The preliminary report indicates a 1992 Ford F-250 truck was traveling eastbound on US 190 when it lost control on the wet roadway and struck a tree.
The driver, 39-year-old Luke Wayne Harrison of Madisonville, was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan and pronounced dead at approximately 12:23 p.m.
The passenger, 23-year-old Christopher Lane Thornton of Midway, was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in serious condition.
Authorities say neither Harrison nor Thornton were properly restrained with safety belts in the pickup truck.
