Motorcyclist dead after Sunday evening crash on Highway 21

The Bryan Police Department is investigating a fatal crash Sunday evening that left a motorcyclist dead.

Joshua Lee Ortiz, 39, of Bryan has been identified as the victim of the crash.

On October 11th, 2020, at 8:30 P.M. the Bryan Police Department responded to the 2900 block of West State Highway 21 for a major accident.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound in the 2900 block of West State Highway 21.

A Dodge Ram truck was traveling westbound in the 2900 block of West State Highway 21 and made a left turn into a private driveway, police said.

When the truck made its left turn it was struck by the Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene and has been identified as Joshua Lee Ortiz, 39-year-old, of Bryan.

The driver of the Dodge Ram has been cooperative with the investigation, according to police.

The investigation is on-going.
