COLLEGE STATION, TX — On Dec 17. the Brazos County Elections Administrator certified that John Nichols had been re-elected to his Place-5 seat and will be sworn into office on Tuesday, Dec 29. at 4 p.m.

Nichols term will last through 2024, this re-election comes after a runoff against Craig Regan.

The unofficial tabulation is as follows:

Craig Regan: 512 (20.49%)
John Nichol: 1,987 (79.51%)

On Dec 16. the Brazos County Elections Administrator notified the City of College Station that only three (of 1,097) mail ballots were received by the 5 p.m. deadline.

Military ballots (499 remain out) may still be received until Monday, Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. Those numbers, however, combined with the three mail ballots accepted -- are not large enough to overcome Councilman Nichol's 1,475-vote lead.
