BRYAN, TX — Firefighters from Brazos County are actively combating a large grass fire off Tabor Road.
Due to the large nature of the grass fire, Tabor Road is going to be closed down between Rabbit and Boatcallie until under control.
25 News KRHD reached out to PIO Wilcox to confirm this started off as an assumed legal controlled burn in an undetermined exact area.
At the time of this writing, officer Wilcox can not confirm when they plan to reopen the road, nor what exactly caused the burn to lose control and ignite the grass. It is also undetermined the extent to which it was handled legally.
