Bryan police shooting investigation leads to local man arrested

BRYAN, TX — Bryan police announced that at 12:55 P.M. they arrested Jacquez Earl Punchard of Bryan, TX in relation to a shooting on the 100 block of Pleasant St, between Cavitt Avenue and S. College Avenue.

Around 6:19 A.M., responding officers were notified that a man had discharged a firearm at a moving vehicle, thus, resulting in it crashing into a tree. The vehicle was occupied by three adult victims at the time.

No injuries were reported also.

According to the Brazos County jail records, Punchard has been previously booked 7 times since Jan of 2018.

Punchard remains in the Brazos County Jail, his bonds totaling $400,000.

Just before 1:00 p.m., police took into custody a man named Jacquez Earl Punchard, 23, of Bryan.

According to online jail records, this is the 7th time Punchard has been booked into the Brazos County Detention Center since January 2018.

He remains in jail at this time on bonds that total $400,000.

During their shooting investigation, Bryan police have arrested one person as of Jan 19.
