Bryan Police Department make arrest in Friday morning shooting

BRYAN, TX — UPDATE: Upon arrival, officers located two people with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

It was determined that the shooting occurred in the 2700 block of Poplar Circle and the victims fled to the 3200 block of Finfeather Road.

A suspect was identified and located in the 5700 block of Paseo Place in Bryan around 9:00 a.m.

The suspect was identified as Taron Devault of Bryan and was taken into custody without incident.

He is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of Firearm, and multiple warrants.

The Bryan Police Department Officers are responding to a shooting that occurred in the 2700 block of Poplar Circle.

Officers are warning the public that there will be heavy police presence on Poplar Circle and in the 3200 block of Finfeather Road.

The public is also advised to avoid both areas as officers are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation.
