Officials in the Bryan/College Station area have urged drivers to stay off the roads if possible as conditions continue to deteriorate due to winter weather.

College Station Police said they have responded to about 25 crashes since 5:30 am.

Bryan PD has responded to 6 crashes, according to Sgt. Kilgore.

He said some of the bridges in Bryan were showing ice this morning.

TxDOT has not been requested to serve as back up or traffic control in the area but they are continuing to cover the Brazos Valley with brine, according to Bob Colwell with the TxDOT Bryan District.

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office said outside of Bryan and College Station city limits, they responded to 17 wrecks within the county in the morning hours.
