ROBERTSON COUNTY — Officials said that two are dead after a fiery crash on Highway 6 in Robertson County.
The victims of the crash have been identified as Michael Cox, 47, from Marquez, TX and Erin Novak, 25, from Houston.
Officials said at the time that one of the victims was a woman who was an A&M student.
According to DPS, Cox was traveling eastbound on 190 when he tried to pass 2 vehicles by making a rapid lane change.
His vehicle lost control and went into the westbound lanes where it collided into Novak's vehicle.
Both were deceased on scene.
The accident caused traffic backups for hours near Campbell's Creek.
DPS says the investigation is ongoing.
