BRENHAM, TX — Texas DPS has confirmed the passenger of the Volkswagen involved in a two-vehicle crash on US 290 near Brenham, 35-year-old Deissy Grimaldo, has passed away at St. Joseph in Bryan.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 37-year-old Samuel Grimaldo of Brenham, TX, was not injured.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates on Feb 20, around 2:33 P.M., a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling west on US 290. A 2014 Toyota Corolla was traveling east. The Volkswagen turned south onto Shady Acres Ln. failing to yield to the Toyota, reportedly resulting in the fatal crash.
The driver of the Toyota, 27-year-old Emily Murray of Austin, TX, was not injured.
