ROBINSON, TX — Robinson police say a case under investigation right now should remind us of the importance of keeping our vehicles locked.

It comes as four Waco men face multiple criminal charges, in a series of car burglaries.

Police in Robinson say their arrests resulted from a Saturday morning call from a woman on Violet Drive who saw two men trying to break into her car.

The witness saw the two heading out on foot toward Cecilia.

Officers arrived to find a suspicions car on Violet, with a gun and what looked like marijuana in plain sight.

A check of the surrounding area showed several vehicles with signs of apparent tampering on Violet, Jancey, Stefka and Rio Bonito.

At the same time, officers found four men coming from the back of a vacant house on violet, and a gun, which checked out as stolen in Waco.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Leeroy Tovar Fuentes, 17-year-old Justin Angel Hernandez, 19-year-old Jay Adrian Rivera and 27-year-old Zachary Luis Suarez and charged them with several different crimes, including criminal trespass with a deadly weapon.

Suarez faces additional charges of felon in possession of a firearm. Rivera faces a charge of tampering with evidence, and also has an outstanding warrant on a parole violation.
