A woman was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to two murders in 2017.

According to authorities, Olishea LaShawn Smith was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty in June to the murder of Damion Hopkins and Dexter Prather in March of 2017.

After several days of testimony from several witnesses, Judge Gauntt sentenced Smith.

Police said that there were five shots fired from a handgun at Club Empire, which hit both of the victims. Police believe the fight that started the shooting was over a dice game.

Smith turned herself in days after the shooting in March. Police said she was the sole shooter in the incident.
