The City of Killeen was rated on the nation’s safest cities to drive in.
Allstate recently released their annual Best-Drivers-Report and it puts Killeen in the top 100 safest cities for drivers in the country.
With a population of over 143,000 and home to Fort Hood, the nation’s largest military base, Killeen came in just after Orlando Florida at 73rd.
While many people asked by Central Texas News Now disagreed with that finding, others said Allstate’s rating sounds about right.
According to TxDOT, out of over 2,000 reported accidents in Killeen in 2017, only 66 included serious injuries and only 15 were fatal accidents.
