Dorothy Walter's been working on her bucket list for years, but she saved the best item for last.

She celebrated her 92nd birthday over the weekend by hopping on the back of a motorcycle.

"It's just a thrill to think I'm going to get to ride it," Walter said. "It's the neatest thing that's ever happened to me in my 92 years!"

When the folks at Harley-Davidson Waco found out about Walter's wish, they wanted to make her experience even more special.

"Anybody who's not working with somebody is going to be on this ride," said Stephen Kirkland, general manager of Harley-Davidson Waco. "Service, sales, everybody is going to be there. We had customers that wanted to come out and be part of it. It's just going to be a community event."

More than a dozen local riders joined Walter on her ride down the highway.

"I mean at 92-years-old, you're surprised to be here," said Tommy Walter, Walter's oldest son. "Just want to see her get on this bike and ride out of here, that's going to be fun!"

Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren cheered her on as she flew out of the parking lot.

"I don't know how far they'll go. It's kind of up to Dorothy right? If she wants to go out for hours, hey, we'll go out for hours with her," Kirkland said.

Nearly 30 minutes later, Walter returned from her ride happy as can be.

"That was absolutely fabulous," Walter said.

She was all smiles as she hugged her driver and the people who rode alongside her, making her family believe her antics won't stop here.

"She'll make another bucket list now," Tommy said.

Walter's driver jokingly told her that now she has to jump out of a plane. While Walter said going up in the air isn't on her list at this point, she's not writing off other activities just yet.

"It's great to wish for something that you really want and get it," Walter said. "It feels great, I may have to add more to it!"

Walter credits her longevity to eight cups of coffee a day and mowing her yard weekly.

"The good Lord has a lot to do with it too, of course. I've been fortunate," Walter said.

Harley-Davidson also gifted Walter a ton of gear including a leather vest and helmet for her birthday.
