The Killeen Police Department has identified the man who was hit and killed by a train last week in Killeen.
Police say 21-year-old Devin Dewayne Newman was hit and killed by a train last Thursday near the area between W.S. Young and 38th St. in Killeen.
The conductor saw the man and blew the horn several times.
The pedestrian didn't move and was struck by the BSNF train.
The accident did not happen at a crossing.
According to BNSF, the train company involved in the accident, investigators are calling the incident accidental.
This is the third train accident in the past month in Central Texas. A Copperas Cove teenager was hit, and another man died when he jumped of a train in Lacy-Lakeview.
