BELTON, TX — Students at Belton High School took a digital tour of global landmarks through virtual reality headsets.

In a class focusing on the Holocaust and genocides in history, students were able to take a tour through concentration camps and a Holocaust remembrance memorial.

“I think it’s very interesting to see, since you’re there, and you can’t really go there on a daily basis, and so you can learn something from there, by being there,” said Caleb Sterling, a student.

Educators say this classroom tool brings the heartbreaking realities of the past to life for students.

“It shows students down here that are not fortunate enough to go and visit the actual concentration camps, they can see them in action. They can see how it’s all set up and everything,” said Limber Pinedo, a student.
