A Central Texas seventh-grade teacher was arrested for allegedly giving alcohol to minors.

Lampasas ISD science teacher Christie Miller was arrested on Feb. 20 by the Lampasas County Sheriff's Office after she allegedly gave alcohol to minors.

Miller resigned from her position before she was arrested. She was put on administrative leave on Monday when the district was first notified of the investigation.

Lampasas ISD Superintendent Dr. Chane Rascoe said that Miller was a teacher for the district for 10 years. He also added that he is proud of the sheriff's office for their work in the investigation.
