Fifth-ranked Baylor equestrian (4-3, 1-1 Big 12) opens spring play against No. 7 Oklahoma State (2-4, 1-1 Big 12) at 11 a.m. CT Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.

The Bears hit the show ring for the first time since falling to No. 5 South Carolina and No. 10 Fresno State at the Fresno State Invitational in November. After locking in an 8-8 tie with the Gamecocks, the Bears fell short in raw scores.

In the final meet of the tournament, BU would go on to top FSU in the hunter seat events and horsemanship, while ultimately being bested by the Bulldogs in reining for an overall score of 10-8.

BU's most recent encounter with the Cowgirls in their Big 12 road opener on Oct. 13 resulted in a 11-9 loss where the Bears and the Cowgirls went neck-and-neck in hunter seat events but ultimately fell short in reining.
