The Baylor Bears are taking a break from their Big 12 competition for their SEC conference challenge.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are headed to Waco.

The Tide are 12-6 on the year, 3-3 in SEC play.

Alabama is hot off an impressive win over No. 20 Ole Miss Tuesday night, a team Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew and the Bears are quite familiar with after playing earlier in the year.

It'll be a battle on the boards for sure as Mark Vital will have to play as though he's 6'10" to fight it out with Bama's number one rebounder Donta Hall who comes in at 6'9".

I watched a lot of film... Charles Barkley, some of those guys and try to see how they guard. But, 6'10" and 6'9" is a height advantage, but I think I got more heart," Baylor redshirt-sophomore, forward Mark Vital said.

"You're getting two of the hottest teams in both leagues. Alabama, Ole Miss we know first hand how good they are, and they had them down 28 points in the second half and really controlled that game. Win at Missouri and lose by three at Tennessee in a game where if they make free throws, they probably win that game. They beat Kentucky. So, this is a team, like us, can get hot in a hurry from three. They have a lot of different weapons," Coach Drew said.

Tip off for the Big 12-SEC challenge is set for Saturday morning at 11.
