A man was arrested and charged after an arrest affidavit said he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in 2014.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the sexual assault happened at the La Quinta Inn and Suites at 10701 Lakeline Mall.
The affidavit said in March 2015, an investigator from Arkansas contacted a Texas attorney general law enforcement officer asking for help locating 29-year-old Joshua Wilson. Wilson was suspected of distributing child pornography of a 4-year-old girl to another man.
The images included the girl being sexually assaulted by Wilson on March 8, 2014, in what appeared to be a hotel room.
Wilson had worked at the front desk of La Quinta Inn and Suites on Lakeline Mall until he was fired in June 2014, according to the affidavit.
The Texas Attorney General’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the length of time between the incident and when the charge was filed, according to the Statesman.
Wilson was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Williamson County Jail. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
His bond is set at $200,000.
