Samantha Carey said it's time for a new home.
"My husband and I, I'm ex-military, I used to be I was in the Air Force for 10 years. And then he's still active duty with the army and we're actually looking to downsize our home," said Carey.
She said one of their first steps was a market analysis.
"When we've sold homes in the past, it’s a service that was charged," said Carey.
As a way of saying thank you to people like the Careys, Central TX First Team Realtors and CMG Financial Texas have partnered up to offer them and others free services each Tuesday.
"What we do is give free copies, free fax, free notary and also they have the opportunity to get prequalified,” said Kathy Brinkley with Central TX First Team Realtors.
They said the free services are for local heroes.
"And what better way to give back to the military, active military, the veterans, our local heroes, our firefighters, police officers, teachers," said Brinkley.
"The services that we've received here was a free market analysis and kind of some guides and tools on what we need to do next and to get our house on the market and get it sold," said Carey.
Those involved said the giving back hits close to home.
"This is something that is near and dear to my heart. I am a veteran, and I spent 13 years in the military and this is just something that I want to give back to my community,” said Brinkley.
Carey said others should feel welcomed to stop by.
"Definitely recommend any veteran to come out,” said Carey
Military and Heroes Tuesdays are hosted each Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central TX First Team Realtors.
