A military family clinic in Killeen is working after hours to show veterans and their families the power of a pen.

The Steven-A-Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors in Killeen partnered with the Camouflaged Sisters Tuesday night to offer a free journaling class for veterans and their family, as well as active duty members.

The class is designed to help those interested in journaling get a better understanding of how it can help and how to get started.

The ladies from Camouflaged Sisters said that journaling can help vets more than they know.

“It helps you communicate and a lot of times you know, veterans have a hard time communicating what we’re feeling, what we’re going through. This is just another tool to put in your kit bag and to help you be a better version of yourself,” said Lila Hollie, founder of Camouflaged Sisters LLC.

Those attending Tuesday night’s class were required to RSVP for the event but the clinic said the plan is to hold the class quarterly.

The next class is set to be held sometime in April.
