The Waco YMCA is offering a discount for its joining fee during the month of January.
The nonprofit is hosting the Pay the Day Campaign, which allows people to pay the amount that equals the particular day you head in. For instance, if you signed up on Jan. 8, it would cost you $8.
In addition, you would pay a pro-rated amount for the month for your membership of choice.
"It's just the beginning of the year. We try to come in early, as early as possible to sign up so it's cheaper. It's a great rate. We know that people are always on a budget coming right after Christmas," Waco Family YMCA Branch Executive Javier Urias said.
The Pay the Day Campaign will run until Jan. 31.
In addition to giving people gym facilities, the YMCA offers swimming lessons, diabetes prevention training and classes for cancer survivors.
