PAGE, AZ (KXXV) - A 14-year-old girl was found dead after she fell off a scenic overlook in Arizona on Christmas Eve.
The girl was visiting the Horseshoe Bend Overlook from San Jose, California with her family. She fell over 700 feet below the overlook, the Coconino County Sheriff's Office said.
Her body was found at the bottom of Horseshoe Bend by an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter and later recovered on Christmas Day.
The girl's body was taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's office in Flagstaff.
The sheriff's office said they believe the fall was accidental, but the incident will remain under investigation pending review by the medical examiner's office.
