A Bryan middle school student was arrested after taking a BB gun to school on Thursday.
According to Bryan police, a 13-year-old boy brought a BB gun to Davila Middle School. Other students saw the BB gun and notified school staff.
Staff notified the school resource officer, who investigated the incident. The BB gun was very realistic, giving others the impression that it was a handgun.
Due to the facts of the incident, the student was taken into custody for terroristic threats.
Students, school staff and police worked together to resolve the incident quickly. The Bryan Police Department and Bryan ISD encourage students to say something if they see something.
