The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football team will have a chance to play for a national championship in its home state when the Cru takes on the University of Mount Union in Stagg Bowl XLVI Friday night in Shenandoah, Texas. This will be the first Stagg Bowl played in the state of Texas and UMHB is serving as co-hosts of the event with the City of Shenandoah.

Tickets for Stagg Bowl XLVI are already available and cost $20. That cost also includes free admission to the FanFest tailgate party before the game. UMHB will be the home team, but will use the visitor’s side or East Side of Woodforest Bank Stadium. UMHB has created an information page, including ticket information and fan information. Just click on umhb.edu/staggbowl to access that information. You can also visit the City of Shenandoah’s Stagg Bowl site for more information. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU with the broadcast starting at 6 pm on Friday. UMHB will also have a radio broadcast on KRock 101.7 with the pre-game starting at 5:30 pm. You can also access the audio stream through links on the KRock website on through cruathletics.com.

The Cru is 14-0 on the season and will be playing in the Stagg Bowl for the third straight year. Mount Union is also 14-0 this year and has won an NCAA record 13 Division III National Championships. Stagg Bowl XLVI is a rematch of last year’s game in Salem, Virginia. The Purple Raiders topped UMHB 12-0 in that contest.
