Some military spouses and veterans are giving back to those who serve in a delicious way.

The folks at Operation Phantom Cakes in Killeen are providing free cakes to veterans, active duty soldiers and their families.

The cakes are either handmade by volunteers or store bought and donated to Operation Phantom Cakes and given to those who can’t afford one.

The volunteers at Operation Phantom Cakes said they are doing this because they want to help those who serve our country.

“It feels good knowing that you can do something that they might not be able to do for themselves. Or, just because you have the heart to do it,” said Stella Hinkson, Director of Operation Phantom Cakes.

With nearly 30 cakes going out every month, Operation Phantom Cakes is looking for more volunteers to help out and supply donations.

If you would like to help out or to request a cake, you can visit them on Facebook or contact Operation Phantom Support.
