A woman was arrested on Friday after police say she threw her infant at her ex-boyfriend twice in February.

On Feb. 23, at approximately 7:44 p.m. a Killeen police officer was approached by the suspect's ex-boyfriend and said that 28-year-old Marcia Burchett had just thrown her child at him twice.

The officer found Burchett who was holding the child in her arms. She then admitted to police that she and her ex-boyfriend were arguing when she “tossed” the child at him, without force.

When she threw the child at the ex-boyfriend the child’s head hit his chin and let him in a daze.

The child was 15-months-old at the time. The child was later found with a bump on its temple that was the size of a nickel.

Burchett was arrested and charged with injury to a child with reckless bodily injury.

She was transported to the Bell County Jail. Her bond is set at $1.1 million.
