According to a new report, California residents are moving to more affordable housing areas, including several cities in Texas.

The Dallas Morning News reported that real estate firm Redfin researched the migration of homeowners from high-cost living areas, such as Los Angeles, to more affordable housing.

The study found that Los Angeles residents were searching for new homes in the Dallas-area. Dallas was in the top 10 of cities where residents were finding more affordable housing and overall living costs, according to Redfin.

Cities like Austin and Houston were also receiving a lot of out-of-state attention from homeowners.

The study found that New York, Washington D.C. and Denver were cities with the most "moveouts."

The Dallas Morning News said that the median home price in Dallas was below the national average.
