Austin animal shelters are asking for help after a city-wide boil water notice was issued on Monday. The boil notice was issued due to historic flooding in the area.

Austin water customers are being told to boil their water before using it until further notice. Travis County Water District 10 and the city of Sunset Valley are also under a boil-water notice.

Here is a list of animal shelters that said they need help:

Austin Pets Alive said they do not have an adequate way of boiling all the water they need for the animals. They are asking for bottled water.

The Austin Humane Society is also asking for gallon-sized or larger bottled water. They also posted a link for cash donations and said they will accept donations of empty containers as well.

The Austin Animal Center said they need temporary foster homes for medium and large dogs. They said if you have never fostered a pet before, they will sign you up on the spot and match you with a dog.
