The suspect involved in an hours-long standoff has been arrested and identified.

SWAT was responding to a barricaded suspect scene in the Beverly Hills area.

Waco police said that officials were on the scene of a barricaded suspect at Valley Mills Apartments on Valley Mills and Clay Avenue.

The suspect was identified as 51-year-old Daniel Remington Jr.

Waco police said the Remington had a warrant out for his arrest and has barricaded himself into an apartment.

Police said officers tried to stop the Remington on Thursday but he evaded arrest. Officials were able to track him to the Valley Mills Apartment.

Police cleared apartments and residents from the area before they began negotiating with Remington.

SWAT has deployed tear gas into the apartment.

Beverly Hills and Waco police were on the scene.

Remington was charged with a parole violation, forgery of the elderly and resisting arrest.
