Waco police remain on the lookout for a man who escaped from a single vehicle accident that crushed the cab of his pickup truck.
Witnesses say the man turned left from Bagby onto New Road at a high rate of speed, lost control flipped and hit a utility pole.
Onlookers from the nearby Goodwill office helped the man out of the crushed cab of his truck and watched him jump into another truck and speed away.
"He hit the pole and flipped the truck. We immediately ran over here and pulled him out of the truck and then he just walked off, he left,” a witness said.
Police have a search underway for the driver. They don't know if he was injured, and if so, how badly he was hurt.
