Waco firefighters respond to 2 house fires

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Waco firefighters have responded to two different house fires on Monday morning.

The first fire is in the 1100 block of Payne Avenue. The family that lives in the house has reported everyone is safe.

Firefighters say the fire started in the back bedroom of the house around 7:50 a.m. The fire was quickly put out. 

The fire marshal will be investigating the cause of the fire.

While responding to the first home, one firefighter was treated for heat-related injuries. The department says the firefighter is OK.

Firefighters arrived at the second fire about 30 minutes later in the 3600 block of Windgate Drive. No injuries were reported at that fire.
