A man was arrested after police say that he shot at another man after an argument.
Killeen police said the incident happened at the Lone Star Inn on June 28. Marktone Rogers told officers that he was assaulted by two men. Rogers also told police that the men shot him in the foot.
Police noticed that the gunshot wound was consistent with being shot straight down, which conflicted with what Rogers told police about being shot from a distance by the men.
Police talked to the other men, who stated that Rogers ran to them and began fighting. They told police that Rogers had pointed a gun in their direction. Surveillance video of the scene showed the altercation, consistent with the other man's story.
Rogers was taken to the Bell County Jail and charged with deadly conduct. His bond is $70,000.
