The City of Waco plans to install signs and painted walkways that will serve as learning tools at seven parks.
The Born Learning Trail Project, spearheaded by the United Way of Waco-McLennan County, offers an opportunity for parents to engage their children in learning while they play at the parks.
A $40,204 federal grant is making the project possible at Bell’s Hill, Dewey, Kendrick, North Waco, Oscar DuConge, South Waco and Wilbert Austin, Sr. parks.
Cotton Palace park already has the signs in place.
The signs are expected to be in place at the rest of the parks in September.
