A 5-year-old girl was killed in the San Antonio SeaWorld parking lot when she was hit by a truck on Sunday evening.
KTXS reported the girl was leaving the park with her parents when she got away from them and ran in between two cars.
The driver of the truck stopped and was cooperating with officers. Police said there is no indication that the driver did anything wrong or criminal.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
SeaWorld has released the following statement about the young girl's death:
We are deeply saddened that last night a young girl was fatally struck by a guest vehicle while exiting SeaWorld’s San Antonio park. The entire SeaWorld family is heartbroken over this tragic accident. Our focus and thoughts are with her family and our team to provide the support they need in the difficult days and weeks ahead.
