Former Baylor forward Nuni Omot announced Friday that he would join the Golden State Warriors Summer League team.
Omot, a 6 foot 9 inch graduate, went undrafted in this year's NBA draft but the Summer League serves as a way for players to make an impression on NBA personnel and hopefully make a roster.
The Kenyan native played high school hoops in Minnesota before joining Baylor in Waco.
During his senior season, Omot averaged just over nine points per game while shooting just over 43 percent from the three point line. When you combine that with his 6'9" frame, he fits the Warriors mold of an athletic, shooting wing that can switch screens on defense.
Summer League begins July 2nd.
