Lorena ISD will now have a school resource officer for the upcoming school year.
The district announced that it had partnered with the City of Lorena and the Lorena Police Department for the upcoming school year. The city council and Lorena ISD Board of Trustees approved an agreement that said one Lorena police officer would be stationed in the school district and serve as the school resource officer.
"We look forward to working together to provide the best and safest learning environment for our students," said the district.
