Fort Hood's Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program held it's biannual mega job fair today.

It's estimated that somewhere between 3,500 and 5,000 soldiers attended the career fair seeking employment from the nearly 200 employers who were offering approximately 100,000 jobs.

The employers were a mix of local, national and international companies.

Each year. anywhere from 9,000 to 12,000 Fort Hood active duty soldiers transition out of the Army and are looking for what they can do next.

"I've been in almost two decades. So, I just have a lot of uncertainty. You don't know what's out there. So, coming somewhere like this kind of helps you paint a picture and you kind of see that there is life after the Army and there are opportunities out there for soldiers," MSG Torres Carr said.

The next Fort Hood mega career fair is scheduled for Jan. 15.
