Cottonwood Creek golf course hosted the final round of the Starburst Junior Golf Classic and it was kind to Central Texas golfers.

Copperas Cove's Elle Fox shot a +5 77 to capture third place in the Girls' Championship division. The 15-year-old started rough on day one, battled her way into the top five on day two, and then closed out the podium with a strong day three.

On the boys' side, Corben Conradt of Lorena and Cade Allison of Robinson went into the final day squarely in the top 15.

Both had rough starts on the front nine, but where Conradt couldn't find his rhythm putting and finished 10 over par, Allison was able to grind his game into shape.

The Rocket had a brilliant birdie on number 11 before carving his tee shot on 12 way to the left. Allison then struck an iron within just yards of the green before getting up and down for par.

That focus helped Allison finish six over par and capture fourth place. The boys' division actually went into a playoff with Marcelo Garza from Nuevo Laredo taking home first place.
