Man charged in federal complaint after FBI says he robbed bank

A federal criminal complaint was filed for a 22-year-old Crawford man on June 12 who was charged with one count of bank robbery and is currently in custody.

According to the FBI, Chad Allen Snowden robbed the GENCO Federal Credit Bank Union in Lorena on March 13. Snowden walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave an undisclosed amount of money to the Snowden.

Snowden was located by investigators. He made his first appearance in federal court on June 12, according to the FBI. He remains in federal custody pending his detention hearing which is set for June 14.

Lorena Police Department and the FBI are conducting the investigation with help from the Waco and Belton Police Departments and Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
