The Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library kicked off it's annual Mini Book Sale on June 9.

This year's book sale features fiction books and cookbooks for just $1.

A pricing system was implemented for children's books.

Instead of individual pricing, the sale charged $2 per inch for children's books stacked up.

Kids can practice their math skills while they see how many books they can pack in per inch.

"We also know that there's a summer lag and sometimes people don't have books at home, and so this is a chance for us to get books into peoples houses and get the kids to get their own books, that they can read this summer," said Jennifer Good, President of The Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library.

The mini book sale continues from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. at the West Waco Library, at 5301 Bosque Blvd.
