A five-run fourth inning led Baylor softball’s Lady Bears past Prairie View A&M in the College Station regional Saturday.

Baylor notched runs on sacrifice flies, wild pitches, and even old-fashioned hits to build an early 4-0 lead, but the fourth inning set itself apart.

Freshman catcher Hannah Thompson paced the inning with a single hit deep to left field that scored a runner all the way from first base.

Reagan Green pitched well for Baylor going five scoreless innings after getting shelled by McNeese State in game one.

After winning the abbreviated contest, Baylor will have a re-match with McNeese State Saturday night at 6:45.

The winner will go on to play Texas A&M in the regional title game Sunday.
