Police have arrested a 21-year-old man involved in a recent increase in vehicle burglaries in the Bellmead area.

On May 15, four warrants were issued for 21-year-old Alfredo Dylan Perez after he was identified in two burglaries and as using stolen credit cards to purchase things from local businesses. The stolen cards were links to the burglaries.

He was arrested in the 500 block of Maxfield Street for two counts of credit card abuse and two counts of burglary of a vehicle.

Police were able to recover some of the stolen property and some of the owner's personal identification.

Police said they were able to link Perez to other burglaries, but charges are still pending in those cases.
