GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (KXXV) -

The Region V Juco baseball tournament ended without a winner. Umpires announced a double forfeit between MCC and Cisco after a benches-clearing argument Monday night.

After the incident, officials decided that Temple College will go to the JUCO College World Series in Colorado.

Mitch Thompson's Highlanders were leading in the 6th when a hard play at home plate caused an argument between a Cisco player and the MCC catcher.

No punches were thrown, but umpires stopped play to contact the NJCAA national office. Assistant coaches and freshman players are suspended for the first two games of next season per the ruling.

Thompson will be speaking Tuesday about the forfeiture.
