The Baylor men’s tennis team will open the 2018 NCAA Tennis Championships with a first-round matchup against Arizona State Friday at 10 a.m. CT at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.
Competing The 18th-ranked Bears will compete on the road for the NCAA First and Second Rounds for only the fifth time under head coach Matt Knoll.
BU is currently 20-9 on the season and was recently the runner-up at the Big 12 Championship after blanking then-No. 17 Oklahoma State, 4-0, and taking down then-No. 7 TCU, 4-2, to advance to the final.
If BU advances to the NCAA Second Round, it would face host and No. 5 seed Texas A&M or Lamar Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.
