The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team is ranked sixth in the West Region of the NCAA Regional Rankings released April 19th.

Texas Lutheran leads the West at 31-0 while ASC opponent UT Tyler is second at 29-1. George Fox University ranks third with a 31-7 record while Linfield College is fourth in 30-8. East Texas Baptist University sits above the Cru in fifth while La Verne rounds out the region in seventh. The NCAA Regional Rankings are used to determine selections and seedings for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Wins over regionally ranked opponents is another part of the criteria used in selecting and seeding those teams. UMHB is currently 1-4 against regionally ranked opponents.

The Cru returns to action on Friday, April 27th in a 5 p.m. doubleheader at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall.
