Baylor baseball tallied a 6-0 win vs. TCU in the series opener on Friday night at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears (20-17, 4-9) used a one-hit, complete game gem by Cody Bradford to stifle the Horned Frogs (19-15, 6-6).

BU scored a run in the first on an Andy Thomas single and that was all Bradford needed. The sophomore lefty sent down his first nine batters, walked his first batter in the fourth and gave up a one-out hit in the same frame. He then retired the final 17 batters.

The Bears offense wasn’t done with just one run, though. In the fourth, BU rallied for four runs on a two-run singles by Nick Loftin and Davis Wendzel. Shea Langeliers opened the fifth with a solo homer for the 6-0 lead that stood.

Bradford’s (4-4) final winning line was nine innings pitched, giving up a hit and walk with 10 strikeouts. TCU starter Nick Lodolo (5-3) took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 3.2 innings.
