Officials were on the scene of an accident between a van and a truck on Wednesday.
The accident happened on FM 439 near the FM 93 intersection in Belton.
DPS officials said the man who died was 60-year-old Thomas Gray from Belton.
A 2002 Chevrolet passenger van was heading eastbound turning left onto Courtney Lane. A 2003 International commercial truck was heading eastbound behind the Chevrolet.
The International swerved to its left and struck the left side of the Chevrolet on the north side of the intersection.
The adult male passenger in the Chevrolet was transported to Seton Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
The passenger in the van had slight injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
This crash is still under investigation.
